Why EMAZON

We make UK customs less of a headache.

Post-Brexit customs is paperwork-heavy and error-prone. We exist so that freight forwarders and direct shippers can hand off the UK leg to a team that deals with HMRC rules, ports and trucking every day.

One point of contact. One accountable team. Fewer surprises at the border.
01

Licensed UK customs brokers

Declarations are filed by UK-based customs agents with direct access to CHIEF/CDS. We handle EORI validation, commodity codes and licence checks before the cargo reaches the quay.

02

PVA & duty deferment ready

Postponed VAT Accounting and our own deferment account help importers improve cash flow — no need to pay VAT at the border before goods can move.

03

Fixed transit times, named milestones

You receive ETD, ETA, customs entry number and POD as standard. Our operations team is reachable in English and Mandarin during both EU and China working hours.

04

Both B2B and B2C modes

We clear commercial freight for forwarders and trade buyers (B2B) as well as direct-to-consumer e-commerce parcels (B2C) under the same operating team — whether you move pallets to a UK warehouse or parcels to individual shoppers.

05

Northern Ireland specialist lane

The Windsor Framework and NI Protocol have their own rules. We regularly move goods GB → NI and EU → NI, including goods-at-risk and UK internal market shipments.

06

Transparent pricing, no hidden fees

Quotes break down freight, clearance, duty, VAT and accessorials separately. If a cost changes due to inspection or re-weigh, we explain why before charging.

07

Built for forwarders & large direct shippers

We work the way UK-specialist peers and e-commerce accounts expect: weekly consolidated billing, neutral handling, white-label documents, and batch clearance for high-volume sellers.

How It Works

Three steps from enquiry to delivery.

The process is intentionally simple so you can get a usable quote within working hours and have cargo moving the same week.

1

Send us the shipment details

Share the pick-up address, destination, cargo description, pieces, weight, dimensions, value, incoterm and whether you need duty & VAT prepaid or deferred. Photos and invoices help us quote accurately.

2

Receive a written quotation

We reply with a line-item quote (freight, clearance, UK last-mile, optional warehousing) plus the expected transit time. We will flag any HS codes, licences or documents that need your attention before booking.

3

Confirm booking & deliver cargo

Once you confirm by email or WeChat, we issue a booking reference and arrange pick-up (or you deliver to our Shenzhen / UK warehouse). We handle the rest — you get milestone updates until proof of delivery.

Frequently Asked

Things customers ask before shipping.

Practical answers from the operations desk. If your question isn't here, send us your shipment details and we will answer specifically.

What should I pay attention to on a UK customs declaration?
The four things that cause most delays are: inaccurate commodity (HS) codes, under-declared or unrealistic customs values, missing or wrong EORI numbers, and incomplete product descriptions (e.g. writing "gift" or "samples" instead of the actual goods). For controlled goods (food, cosmetics, electronics, toys, medical, plants, alcohol) additional licences or product compliance marks (CE/UKCA) are required. We review documents before lodging the entry and will ask for corrections rather than letting the declaration be rejected or selected for inspection at the port.
How do I register for UK Postponed VAT Accounting (PVA)?
If you (or your UK importer of record) have a UK EORI number starting with GB, you can in most cases use PVA automatically — there is no separate application. You simply need to tell us at booking that you wish to account for import VAT on your VAT return rather than pay it at the border. After each month you download your Monthly Postponed Import VAT Statement (MPIVS) from your HMRC online account. If you do not have a UK VAT registration, we can discuss alternatives such as using our deferment account or shipping DDP under our fiscal representation.
How does the handoff work with my existing freight forwarder?
Most of our forwarder customers hand us the UK leg only. You send us the master AWB/BL, commercial invoice and packing list; we lodge the import entry, notify the arriving carrier, clear customs, arrange UK delivery and return the POD to you — with neutral paperwork if required. For EU-to-UK trucking, we can collect from your EU warehouse, handle transit documents, cross the border on your behalf and deliver anywhere in the UK or Northern Ireland.
Do you handle DDP shipments where the consignee is not VAT-registered?
Yes. For DDP terms we can act as the importer of record via our UK entity, clear the goods under our EORI and deferment account, pay duty and import VAT on your behalf, and bill everything back consolidated in RMB or GBP. This is commonly used for e-commerce sellers shipping direct to UK consumers, Amazon FBA, or B2B buyers who do not want to handle import compliance themselves.
What is the difference between shipping to mainland GB and to Northern Ireland?
Northern Ireland remains in the UK customs territory but follows EU single market rules for goods under the Windsor Framework. Shipments GB → NI require a Safety & Security declaration and, for goods considered "at risk" of moving into the EU, may attract EU duty. EU → NI movements generally do not need a full UK import entry but still require correct commercial paperwork. We treat NI as its own lane rather than a standard UK postcode, which is why it is one of our core services.
My cargo was selected for a customs inspection — what happens next?
Inspections (documentary, scan, or physical) are decided by HMRC and port authorities; they cannot be waived. When it happens, we receive the hold notice directly, move the trailer or container to the assigned inspection bay, attend on your behalf if required, and provide you with the reason and any additional documents needed. Any official inspection fees are passed through at cost with HMRC/port receipts; we do not mark them up. Most inspections are released within 1–3 working days if paperwork is in order.
